Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
Over 22 years in the USAF taught me how to manage not only people, but also how to react and think through tough situations when they arise. The Quality training we received in the late 80's came handy when I retired in 2007 because the concept, although renamed, was still alive and well in the civilian sector. Training in leadership was extremely valuable; I was able to cross over easily into my new civilian role. Self-discipline was critical when I decided to become a small business owner.
