Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
My military service taught me discipline, work ethics, problem-solving, and the advantages of teamwork. Moving into positions of responsibility for other service members is an excellent primer for small business ownership. Learning the effect that decisions can have on individuals or the entire team teaches skills that are critical to starting and sustaining a small business. The military exposes you to high-stress situations that are similar to what a small business owner constantly faces.
